Every now and then, life feels… off.

Not broken, not catastrophic — just slightly misaligned.

The days blur, energy dips, clarity fades.

That’s usually my cue for a reset.

A reset isn’t about reinventing yourself from scratch. It’s about hitting pause long enough to step back, see the bigger picture, and adjust your course.

Over the years, I’ve learned that resets work best when they’re short and intentional. They’re not about flipping your life upside down — they’re about small, deliberate changes that restore clarity, energy, and focus.

Here are a few that have made the biggest difference for me:

• Metabolic or food detox — A short break from processed foods, added sugars, and heavy meals. Even just 2–3 days of clean, simple eating can calm inflammation and boost energy.

• Sleep reset — Committing to three nights of 8+ hours of sleep… which I try to do. The catch? It only works when none of my daughters wanders into my room in the middle of the night to wake me up. On those rare nights, my patience and focus skyrocket.

• Declutter one space — A desk, a closet, a kitchen drawer. Clear space, clear mind.

• Nature immersion — Half a day outdoors without rushing, without constant notifications. It’s amazing how fast your body finds a more natural pace.

• Micro-sabbatical — I’ve only taken one, but it gave me surprising clarity. A full day off midweek, spent intentionally, can shift your perspective in ways a weekend can’t. I want to make this a monthly ritual.

Resets won’t erase all problems, but they will interrupt autopilot.

They create space to notice where you are, decide where you want to go, and move there with intention.

If you could give yourself one reset this week — even a small one — what would it be?
